What kind of indicators are there?

In this project, CFP (carbon footprint) is displayed for each cafeteria menu, but CFP is not the only indicator of environmental impact. There are also indicators such as Water footprint and Biodiversity footprint.

Freshwater natural environments are currently under serious threat in many parts of the world. In Asia, 300 million people still do not have access to safe, hygienic water for their daily lives.[2] Water footprint is an indicator that represents the amount of water consumed and contaminated throughout the life cycle of food, clothing, etc.[3] By calculating the water footprint, it is possible to get an overview of the impact that the things Japan imports and consumes have on the water environment. Furthermore, when calculating Japan's water footprint, it has been found that the footprint from the production of cotton products and livestock products tends to account for a high proportion [4].

Biodiversity footprint refers to an index that quantifies the magnitude of impact on the earth's biodiversity throughout its life cycle. At GXSN,P2307 Nature Positive University"and"P2305 Race To Zero PlanAnother project we collaborated with is calculating the biodiversity footprint of cafeteria menus using IDEA.
